That is 84 percent of the total technical workforce comprising of technicians, engineers, planners and inspectors.  Mr. Ali Millat, VP Technical Services, said that providing top notch training to the AirlineÕs technical manpower is the key to maintaining a state-of-the-art fleet such as Saudi Arabian AirlinesÕ to international standards. SV has always paid special attention to develop the skills of its technical staff through continuous training. The maintenance training institute affiliated to the Prince Sultan Aviation Academy, was established with this objective in view, Mr. Millat said. During the first quarter of this year 3714 trainees attended 416 specialized training courses.

The AirlineÕs technical staff provided maintenance services to 55 Arab and international airlines besides maintaining its own large fleet including overhauling engines, calibrating precision instruments and refurbishing equipment and various aircraft parts.
