MEA in SkyTeam

SkyTeam partners welcomed their most recent partner, Middle East Airlines – Air Liban, to the alliance on June 28th, during a ceremony held in Beirut.
Founded in 1945, Middle East Airlines is one of the leading legacy airlines in the region.  With a network that nicely complements that of alliance partner Saudia, SkyTeam’s passengers now have even wider access to the Middle East and Western Africa.
This new member serves 30 international destinations in Europe, The Middle East and West Africa, with a modern fleet of Airbus A330, A321 and A320 aircraft. Passengers will enjoy luxurious service on the ground and onboard, reflecting the time honored Lebanese traditions of culture and hospitality.
Furthermore, just before joining SkyTeam, Middle East Airlines concluded a thorough restructuring plan, including fleet modernization, network expansion and product quality enhancement.
Middle East Airlines’ Cedar Miles frequent flyer program has been fully integrated into SkyTeam, and members can now accrue and redeem miles when traveling with any of the 17 SkyTeam member airlines.  Members of other SkyTeam frequent flyer programs can also earn and redeem miles when traveling on any MEA operated flight.
SkyTeam brings you more of The Middle East than ever before!
