Welcome,
Garuda Indonesia
This March 5th, SkyTeam further expands its global reach welcoming Garuda Indonesia, its 20th member airline.
Garuda Indonesia’s network perfectly complements the one of Vietnam Airlines, substantially enhancing SkyTeam’s presence and connectivity in South East Asia. Its membership of SkyTeam will facilitate travel to Indonesia for customers around the world: the airline serves 39 domestic and 20 international destinations across Asia, the Middle East, Australia and Europe, including seven SkyTeam hubs: Seoul, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei and Amsterdam.
In terms of service, this quality airline brings to the alliance the best of the traditional Indonesian hospitality combined with a state-of-the-art fleet. Their characteristic Garuda Indonesia Experience concept of service has been designed to allow passengers to discover the best of Indonesia, feeling pampered while enjoying a supreme travel experience. In fact, the airline has won a number of accolades and recognitions from both national and international institutions, including “The World’s Best Economy Class” award from Skytrax in June 2013 and the “Best in Region: Asia and Australasia”, by the “Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX)”, in September 2013.
As of the date of joining, members of frequent flyer programs of all 19 fellow SkyTeam airlines will be able to accrue and redeem miles flying on any Garuda Indonesia flight. Furthermore, SkyTeam international First and Business Class as well as Elite Plus members will have access to Garuda Indonesia airport lounges.
The same day, the airline will also start participating in SkyTeam’s Go Round the World and Go Asia travel passes. More information on skyteam.com
